Tree Hazard & Landscape Checklist:

• Are there low hanging limbs that may injure pedestrians or contact vehicles?
• Are there limbs touching wires, buildings, light posts, traffic signs, or other structures?
• Are there limbs blocking traffic visibility?
• Are there large dead or detached branches hanging in the trees?
• Do any trees have cavities or decay along the trunk or in major branches?
• Are there cracks or splits in the trunk or where branches are attached?
• Are mushrooms present at the base of any trees or on the limbs, which indicate decay?
• Has the trunk developed a strong lean or roots raised out of ground of any trees?
• Does the property overall appear to be presentable and clean kept?
• Are there clumps of grass in turf areas after being cut?
• Are there brown spots, weeds, or bare patches in turf areas?
• Is litter and debris present in flower beds and turf areas?
• Are weeds present in flower beds and curbs?
• Is bare soil visible in flower beds that should be mulched?
• Is the shrubbery sheared or pruned regularly to keep from getting overgrown?
• Are there leaves collecting that need to be removed from turf areas, flower beds, or parking areas?
• Have the seasonal plantings and maintenance been performed as the seasons change?
