Fertilize Your Trees and Shrubs
Fertilizing your trees is important to make sure they’re provided with the nutrients they need to thrive.
In urban landscapes, trees often lack the nutrients naturally available in forest settings. This is because we generally clean up fallen leaves and twigs in the landscape that would otherwise decompose back into the soil as nutrients as micro organisms break them down.
We use a slow release, liquid fertilizer, that your trees can take up as they need the nutrients through out the season. The fertilizer is injected with a high pressure probe 4” – 6” deep every few feet through out the root zone of each tree for the feeder roots to absorb.
Fertilizing is great for rejuvenating trees that are stressed by disease, drought conditions, or construction damage.
It is also a great preventative service to help keep healthy trees lush and vigorous, which is important to help defend against insect and disease infection. An annual application is recommended, but each situation is evaluated for specific recommendations depending on it’s condition.
